The Forbidden City is one of those things that people with money and power do because they can.  It seems unreasonable to build a palace with hundreds of buildings and 9,999 rooms, but not for the Chinese.  The Imperial Palace is located in the heart of Beijing and can’t be missed with its towering walls.  It was amazing to walk throughout the palace and see all of the details put into every building.  It blew my mind to think that all of this was built in the 15th century without heavy machinery.  It was also interesting to learn about all of the little facts about this huge project like how they cut only certain trees down to use with the building and let the logs float down the river into the water.
