Liuhui Lin is an 8th grader at number 7 middle school in Dalian, China. She and I were paired for the day to teach each other about what the education system is like in our respective countries. She gave me a tour throughout her middle school and showed me all of the places and ways that they learn. The room that stuck out to me was the “international room.”  In this room they learn about other cultures and there was a display I noticed in the America section that caught my eye. There was a display of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and what dishes we eat. It was extremely accurate and Liuhui knew all about it. It amazed me that she knew so much english and about American life yet American students back home learn close to nothing about China.
