One of the seven great wonders of the world, The Great Wall was everything we expected it to be and them some!

Created from stone bricks and earth, The Great Wall spans about 5,500 miles through China and serves as a barrier once used to defend China from attackers.  Near Beijing we got to experience it for ourselves.

Something that never came to mind when thinking about The Great Wall was the immense climb that it would be!  We are all young college students and reaching the highest tower in our area was quite the climb.  Imagine a steep steep staircase made of uneven bricks with steps of different heights that extended endlessly.  Of course the view was worth the climb and It was really an amazing experience.  I would do it all over again if I had the choice.  If you’re thinking of seeing The Great Wall too, just make sure you’re ready to climb!
