I really enjoyed the mystery caves because I think it is incredible how old yet massive they are. To think that people almost 2,000 years ago were able to construct such massive caves with the technology they had available really blows my mind. I wouldn’t even know where to start if given that task and I can’t imagine how long it must have taken them to build all 36. It is also really interesting and impressive how they followed the shape of the mountain ridge with the ceiling of the cave. To be able to figure out how to accurately do this must have been a huge challenge and I think it is so cool that they were able to. Another thing I liked about the caves is the fact that they were so specific with their structural supports and used smart load carrying designs like the walls that were v-shaped so it was wider towards the roof. Or how they used certain chisel techniques to eliminate echoes in the cave. This was a huge project and whatever it was done for must have been very important, I think the military theory seems reasonable and probably the most feasible considering the amount of man power needed to build such an elaborate system of caves.
