This is a view from the observatory deck on ShangHai Tower, currently world’s second tallest structure. It is a 632 meter tall, 128 story megatall skyscraper. It just amazes me how the Chinese can pull off this massive engineering project in the middle of the financial district, and NOTHING STOPPED. They literally built this thing while everything else around was still functioning except a couple of blocked streets. Up here you can oversee the entire Shanghai. A picture really couldn’t do the justice. Especially at night, when the light are on, standing up there almost felt like I am on the top of Empire State Building and beneath me is the Fifth Avenue. The bund at night is absolutely gorgeous. The old colonies have left Shanghai a unique texture than any other city.
