Apple’s division that includes revenue from subscription services just reached an all-time high during their third quarter They just made $11.46 billion in revenue during the quarter, that’s a lot of money. In the past, iPhones have played a key part in deciding Apple’s revenue over the years, but with people being less likely to upgrade their phones now Apple has had to dedicate more research into their service division. Apple now focuses and researches more on their subscriptions and ways that they can improve them for their audience. They also are focused on creating new subscription services to increase their yearly revenue.
Nowadays, it seems like everyone owns an apple device, such as the iPhone, iMac, iPad, and Apple Tv just to name a few. Even I can contest to this as most of the electronic devices that I own are Apple. With owning these devices, you are offered services in where you usually have to pay monthly for such as Apple Music, iTunes, and News. They have gained great popularity in the digital market, competing with other popular streaming services and subscription services which has allowed people to look at Apple as more than just electronic devices. They are trying to connect your life with your electronics.
Apple doesn’t want to stop there; they’re planning on creating new subscription services and devices to increase their revenue. They have plans to release their own Tv service, game service, and credit card in the following years. Recently Apple unveiled details about their Tv service called Apple TV+, which will offer original programming that people will be able to subscribe to through their Apple TV set-top boxes. Apple has yet to unveil the prices of this new subscription system, including a free trail. With these new services, Apple plans to add to the already 420 million subscriptions that they already have for their current services.
The company expects to bring in revenue between $61 billion and $64 billion during the fiscal fourth quarter.
