on looking glass fabrication
on My looking glass project printed successfully. I think it could have used less infill than it did and would cut the print time down to a couple of hours.
Looking Glass Final
on This is my final design for the 3D printing project. The trickiest thing was to successfully combine the two models in fusion 360. I learn different skills every-time I use Fusion 360. Hopefully it will print without errors.
Looking Glass Iteration
on It took some patience to get the models ready for fusion 360 in Meshmixer. After I figured that out, I could combine River’s chicken scan and my oil can from the previous project.
Laser Cutter Model Fabrication
on During this project I learned how to create a 3D model and convert that model into a slicer program to get it ready for the laser cutter. I had no problems with the laser cutter and everything went smoothly. Since the cardboard was 2x the thickness of normal cardboard, the egg-carton style model was slightly longer in width than length, making the assembled model slightly disproportional.

on I learned to refine and combine a scan and a 3D CAD model in Fusion 360 for this project.
Digitizer MeshMod
on I learned how to use the scanner in the maker space and learned what objects scan and don’t scan well. My scan could have been better but it had some hidden overhangs/geometries. The multi scan was worse than a single scan.
