Clarinet Choir performing at 2017 ClarinetFest in Orlando, Florida

 The Penn State Clarinet Choir

presents a wonderful opportunity for students to learn basic chamber music skills. The ensemble is open to majors, minors and non-majors alike. The Clarinet Choir performs from a vast repertoire of original works, jazz selections and transcriptions of classical standards. The students perform with and without a conductor and spend time working on cueing, blending, intonation, musicality, playing solos and accompaniments and working with others in a fun and challenging environment. Students are also encouraged to become acquainted with the auxiliary instruments of the clarinet family. The Penn State Clarinet Choir was invited to perform at the International Clarinet Association’s ClarinetFest in Orlando, Florida on July 29, 2017 and can be heard on WPSU radio. Interested students should contact Dr. Costa.
