Christian E. López B. is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology, NY. He has worked as an Industrial Engineer in both the Service and Manufacturing sectors before pursuing his Ph.D.
His current research focuses on the design and optimization of intelligent systems through the acquisition, integration, and mining of large-scale, disparate data. Furthermore, he is currently exploring the fields of Affective Computing and Gamification, with the objective to improve feedback and intervention mechanisms in educational and health-wellness applications. He is currently working on a project that aims to design a co-robot system capable of providing students customized feedback and interventions to enhance their performance and engagement. He is currently part of the Design Analysis Technology Advancement (D.A.T.A.) Laboratory at Penn State.
