A common occurring phenomenon across the globe is the presence of comfort movies. Everyone has one (or several) special movies that they watch to destress and escape from the burdens of day-to-day life. Especially among teens, comfort movies are extremely popular and cherished. But what makes a comfort movie so special? What do they all have in common, and what does a comfort movie reveal about us? It’s these questions that I seek to answer and explain in my comfort movie blogs/rants. I want to dig into the psychological impact that comfort movies have on us by analyzing select movies that I deem as comfort movies.
