FYE: Week 5

This week was another week full of stress and homework and projects, so I won’t bore you with that again.

My weekend was much more exciting. Three of my friends from home came up to visit for the weekend on Friday, and I could not wait to see them. When they arrived they put their things in my dorm, then we headed over to Playa Bowls, of course, to get some lunch. Even though I had seen them just 2 weeks before when I went home, I was still excited to catch up and spend time with them.

It was weird having my friends from home here with me at Penn State. They had never seen me in this environment, and they got to meet my roommate for the first time, it was like my two worlds were colliding. We went out the night that they got here, and we had such a good time. They got to meet my other friends that I have made while here, and I of course had to take them to D.P. Dough so they could taste the best calzones I have ever had.

The next morning we all slept in pretty late, then we went over to the Waffle Shop for breakfast. I had never been, and I was not disappointed. Their waffles are so delicious, and all of us had a great breakfast there. We just hung out and relaxed for the rest of the day until later that night, and we got ready and went out again. And yes, we went to D.P. Dough again. It’s too good to pass up when it is 1 am and you’re tired and hungry.

Sunday was the day I was dreading, because that meant my friends were leaving, and I had to work on homework and laundry all day. It was so fun having them visit me, and I wished that the weekend could last longer. Yet even though I hated to see them leave, I knew I would be seeing them again in less than 2 weeks, so that is something I can hold onto!
