Call for Undergraduate Researchers: Spring 2019 Equity REU

The College of Engineering is pleased to announce a call for undergraduate research proposals for the spring 2019 Equity REU program. This REU program supports Penn State undergraduate engineering students to conduct research with Penn State faculty at University Park. Selected students receive a scholarship of $1,500 to complete their proposed engineering research project in conjunction with a Penn State faculty member(s) and his/her research team. The student requirements of the program include 10 hours of research per week, a scholarly paper, poster presentation, and attendance at monthly professional development workshops.

While open to all students in the college, the program actively recruits students who fit the following criteria:

  • students in first two years of study
  • female students
  • underrepresented racial minorities
  • change-of-campus students, and
  • equity allies.

Faculty looking to connect with students can post a project on the program application site.

Please contact Erin Hostetler at ErinH@psu.edu or Cindy Reed at chr10@psu.edu with any questions about the program.
