           Dr. Judy Alston

Dr. Judy Alston is a Professor and the Director of the Doctoral Program in Leadership Studies at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. In 2010, Dr. Alston became the first Black woman to be promoted to Full Professor in the history of Ashland University. She is the author of many articles, book chapters, and books including Herstories: Leading with the Lessons of the Lives of Black Women Activists, Multi-leadership in Urban Schools, and School Leadership and Administration: Important Concepts, Case Studies, & Simulations (7th – 11th editions). Her research foci include Black female school superintendents; the exploration of how the intersections of class, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and ability affect leaders; tempered radicals and refined revolutionaries; servant leadership; spirituality; and Black LGBT issues in leadership. Dr. Alston received her Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Penn State in 1996.

This webinar will examine how the intersections of care, justice, responsibility, and conviction provide a frame and foundation for the calling to leadership for women in organizations.

Anne Zummo Malone is the Chief of Growth and Impact for AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation in Washington, DC. She focuses on the steady growth of AppleTree’s research-based early childhood approach throughout the country, and oversees AppleTree’s partnership development in Washington, DC, New York City, and Texas.  Since graduation from Penn State in 2001, Anne has been a teacher, a leader, and innovator whose work has continued to evolve in an ever-changing world.  In addition to her B.S. in Elementary Education from Penn State, Anne also holds a Master’s Degree in Education Policy, Organization and Leadership from Stanford University.

In this webinar, participants will learn strategies for professional growth, problem solving, and innovation in an ever-evolving world of education.

A native of Chicagoland, Sarah has over a decade of experience teaching learners in secondary, post-secondary, and professional settings. She specializes in instructional design and delivery, supports for learners, and educational technology. Sarah is committed to helping others meet their personal financial and academic goals through customized, authentic learning experiences. She earned a B.A. in Secondary Education from DePaul University and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University.

This webinar will present some financial challenges women face and offer information that can help women feel more in control of their savings and investing for their future.

Christina Parle
   Christina Parle

Christina Parle (she/they) is an equity, inclusion, and diversity (EID) speaker, consultant, and instructional designer through her company Social Responsibility Speaks, LLC. Christina believes she has a social responsibility to educate others and create space for dialogue related to foundational EID concepts. Much of her work is rooted in unlearning, conflict resolution, and effective communication skills. Christina’s particular interest is on language and its impacts on humans. Christina predominately designs and facilitates EID content and curriculum for students, volunteers, and/or staff with nonprofits and corporations. She approaches this work from a foundational and holistic perspective and believes in creating a space where people at different levels of knowledge on EID can learn individually and together. Christina earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and political science at the University of Central Missouri, and her master’s degree in higher education with an emphasis in student affairs from Penn State.

This program will explore the intersections of empowerment and authenticity with equity, inclusion, and diversity work. Particularly as women this conversation is of the utmost importance both internally and how we treat other women/feminine humans. Join Christina in having a needed conversation about ourselves and how we can show up for others.
