Welcome!

Thanks for your interest in the Community Harvest Project of Centre County!

Our mission is to provide fresh, local produce from area farms and distribute it to families in need via food pantries and other non-profits across Centre County. We do this by coordinating volunteer gleaners and drivers to harvest and deliver to partner agencies.

In 2018, our first year, we harvested 20,000 pounds of produce and distributed all of that fresh food to 15 food banks, food pantries and youth feeding programs. In 2019, we harvested 25,000 pounds of fresh produce, and distribute it to 21 agencies across Centre County!

If you would like to be added to our email list to receive information about volunteer opportunities, please contact Sustainable Food Systems Program AmeriCorps member Angela Corcoran at anc5690 (at) psu.edu.

This project is generously supported by the State College Food Bank.
