Mellon Postdoctoral Fellows in the Humanities – Cornell

The Society for the Humanities annually sponsors two postdoctoral teaching-research fellowships in the humanities, each awarded for a two-year period beginning in July. The Society will announce the desired areas of specialization for each fellowship; those for the most recent award were in Asian Studies and History.

Eligibility: Open to all nationalities. PhD must be in hand before start of fellowship.

Award: $50,000 annually.

Teaching: One undergraduate course per semester.

Grad Student Int’l Research Award, Penn State

Deadline: Nov. 1, 2017

“The Graduate Student International Research Award promotes and supports scholarship that has potential for global impact. The award is to be used for travel, living expenses, and research-related costs. This award may be combined with other funding sources.”

Award: Up to $5,000

Eligibility: MA or PhD student in good standing. Must have completed all coursework except required research (PhD candidates must have passed their comps). Must be conducting research outside the U.S.
