Visit with Dr. Dianne Ward

On December 7-8, 2014, COPT had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Dianne Ward as part of our distinguished speaker series.

The visit kicked off with a holiday party at Dr. Barbara Rolls’ house. The fellows, leadership team, Nutritional Sciences head Dr. Gordon Jensen, and Dr. Ward all had a great time!

The next day Dr. Ward met with COPT and Nutrition students for many individual meetings and a group lunch. She gave the students some invaluable advice about how to stay positive while having a productive career.

Dr. Ward’s visit ended with her talk, “Fewer chicken nuggets and more active play time: Dissemination and implementation of the NAP SACC program to create healthy environments in child care.” NAP SACC is one of three programs identified as model programs by Let’s Move! Child Care!
