Gina Carano and Morgan Wallen cancelled!

The next wave of celebrity cancellations has come, and Gina Carano and Morgan Wallen are on the list. The fan favorite, Disney television series the Mandalorian has decided to officially cancel Gina Carano. This move comes after months of Lucasfilm reportedly trying to find a reason to get rid of her for her not so controversial tweets.

Back in November, Gina tweeted that she believed that election votes should be securely counted and monitored. It was obvious that she was not thrilled with the reports of widespread voter fraud and she used her voice to raise awareness as celebrities often do.

However, after her last tweet comparing liberals, who dislike and wish to censor conservatives, to German citizens in Nazi Germany who reported on their Jewish neighbors. Until this Carano was supposed to star in her own spin off show called rangers of the republic. Unfortunately, this was the last straw and Carano was fired early last week.  This move draws much criticism from those who hate cancel culture. They point out that the actor who starred in the Mandalorian also posted a very similar tweet, comparing Jewish children in jail cells in Nazi Germany to America putting kids in cages.

Nevertheless, there is hope for Gina, as an outspoken conservative, the multi-media conservative news outlet, the DailyWire has decided to giver her, her own movie. Co-owner of the DailyWire, and political commentator, Ben Shapiro said in a statement that he, and his executive team decided to let Carano produce and star in her own movie. In a tweet Gina said that “they can’t cancel us if don’t let them” which Mr. Shapiro echoed on the Ben Shapiro Show last week.

Another Hollywood country star Morgan Wallen has also been cancelled after saying the N word to one of his friends at a bar/nightclub. Wallen has since apologized for his actions. However, this was not enough to save him from the “Woke Mob” In my opinion I hate all forms and uses of the N word. I believe it is derogatory and is evil, regardless of the skin color of the person using it. I think that if more people understood the historical significance behind the word, it would not be so popularized by those who Americans idolize. That being said, after reviewing the footage I do not believe that Wallen was using this word to describe his white friend, as a buddy as many in Hollywood do today.

  1. I personally don’t agree with cancel culture. If someone does something wrong, they should be given the opportunity to fix their mistakes and grow as a person. Instead, cancel culture eliminates them from the media and banishes them! I don’t think this allows the person to grow but instead stifles them.

  2. I think that it is healthy to have a system of checks and balances, but when it is not a civilized court of law but rather a mob of semi-liked minded individuals it brings more power to one side than the other. And while I agree that she should not have gotten canceled for her tweet, it is definitely always a bad idea to compare relatively tame events to the horrific nature of the holocaust and she should not have phrased it in the way that she did.
