Our target audience for this project was not available to evaluate the script, so therefore we utilized non-nutrition majors to read and evaluate the project. We showed our script to six different individuals, ranging from roommates to family members. Through these evaluations, people were responsive to the fact that we were showing how to create certain meals so that the young students could visualize it and do it themselves. Other comments were also positive and they liked the idea of the on-screen tips throughout the video. We originally included a recipe that involved more skills that not all students in our audience would be capable of performing alone. This was brought to our attention by an individual who evaluated the script and we responded by simplifying the recipes. It was very helpful to be able to show our project plans to individuals who were not in the nutrition major because they were able to find certain things that may be confusing to children with no background in nutrition such as language and knowledge of specific foods.
Thankfully we have not run into many issues during the planning of this project, and we are productively moving forward onto the next steps.
