In early July, the Center for Supply Chain Research® increased its educational offerings to corporate sponsors by doubling the number of courses scheduled and increasing the number of seats per organization by 33% in the CSCR® Supply Chain Academy offerings.
Research from CSCR shows that since the center began offering virtual “sprints” to sponsors beginning in 2018, well over 1,000 professionals have attended in the previously smaller format. During the same time period, these sprint series – offered to organizations through Penn State Executive Programs – are consistently educating more than 7,000 individuals per year across the globe.
“Our supply chain academy series, covering just about every important topic in supply chain management, has been our most successful curriculum so far whether you’re measuring; attendance, retention, engagement or completion,” said Steve Tracey, CSCR executive director. “When we founded the academy in 2014, we never fully expected the success that it has had but, are of course, extremely pleased.”
The self-development sprints provide roughly 35 minutes of educational content per day, over 4 days, and conclude with a 1-hour live engagement event with faculty. This format has a track record of proven success with high completion rates, high engagement rates and extraordinary net promoter scores (What Is Net Promoter?).
CSCR Corporate Sponsor companies are encouraged to take advantage of their pre-paid slots for each sprint series. Four individuals from each sponsor company are eligible to attend the bi-monthly courses. In addition to an initial invitation, CSCR provides reminder correspondence for each sprint including upcoming sprint and registration information. Interested individuals have up until the week before the course to register.
“We were so excited to expand the offering to more participants among the CSCR sponsor base and almost immediately saw that benefit being used extensively. If you’re not sending your folks to these sprints, you’re really missing out on great opportunity to up-skill your talent,” remarked Tracey.
