Prompt Engineering with AI

Artificial intelligence (AI) tools can be used as part of activities and assignments to enhance student learning. As part of using AI tools effectively, it’s important to understand how to craft a prompt as it impacts the information the AI tool provides. In addition, being able to craft effective prompts has become a career skill in today’s workplace. In this session, we’ll explore prompt writing and the output that different prompts can provide. We’ll also explore strategies for integrating prompt writing in courses.

Student-Centered Instructional Practices Teaching Symposium

The Center for Teaching Excellence is pleased to host the Annual Teaching Symposium which will focus on student-centered instructional practices. All faculty are invited to submit a proposal to present at the symposium. Topics are to focus on student-centered instructional practices that lead to enhanced student learning outcomes.

Strategies for Integrating Microsoft Copilot in Classes and Workflows

Faculty, staff, and students have access to Microsoft Copilot as part of the Microsoft package. Copilot is an artificial intelligence tool that can be used in a variety of ways. In this session, we’ll explore how to effectively navigate Copilot, strategies for using Copilot in courses, and strategies for integrating it as part of planning and preparation.
