A Tribute to King Teng’s Tower– the most beautiful regular script of the Qing Dynasty.

Gao Kai’s copy of the “A Tribute to King Teng’s Tower” draws on the strengths of all the Tang dynasty, and is a rare example of the finest regular script, with its precise and meticulous pointing and drawing, as well as its dynamic and graceful brushwork, both square and round.

Gao Kai, a native of Renhe, Zhejiang Province, with the word Zicai and the number Shuangquan, was a famous calligrapher in the Qing Dynasty, active in the Qianlong, Daoguang and Jiaqing periods of the Qing Dynasty. Although Gao Kai lived a life of cloth and never joined the imperial court, he was still famous for his calligraphy, and was one of the few civilian calligraphers.

From the word’s form to seemingly take Zhao Meng, and the writing of the flowing nature and close to Chu Suiliang, revealing the warmth of the atmosphere from Yu Shinan. Of course, there is also some flirtatious taste. It is not easy to write a regular script that is most prone to the drawbacks of stagnation, and it is not easy to mix in the meaning of flightiness in the writing of the dots and paintings that are never meticulous.
