This semester, I want to do a report about the study and life of Chinese and American high school students when they are about to graduate. In China, there are three years of high school and they are all boarding schools. Students only go home on weekends and return to school on Sunday afternoons. There will be a very important test in the final year (a bit like the SAT), If you can get a very good score on this test, your fate may be rewritten because China does not look at students’ GPA Instead, look at the final score of the exam (GAOKAO). The students will try their best to improve even one point, because, for them, a difference of one point may mean heaven or hell. They will go to class at 6:30 in the morning and return to the dormitory at 10:00 in the evening. Of course, they will also have a meal time. Students who hope to get a good grade may review or do homework past 12 a.m.
