DR. DENISE W. STREETER

dstreeterI invite you to peruse this website of my over 25 years of professional and academic experience in accounting, economics, and finance and more. A few highlights are as follows:

    • the Research tab takes you from my research summary on corporate finance and financial markets to my early work as a layperson researcher and accounting practitioner; that early work resulted in a book of history; publication in a top accounting journal; and a book chapter with a senior professor; the research tab also records my finance working papers on market microstructure and financial institutions;

    • the Teaching tab introduces you to the courses that I have taught in various formats. From traditional lecture style to hybrid to online sessions, I have taught courses on accounting, computing, corporate finance, financial analysis, and financial institutions at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. With my expanding research interests and preparation, I envision teaching courses in international finance and macroeconomics;

    • the Experience tab shows my progression from entry level auditor to Chief Financial Officer at a national organization. That experience also includes six years of adjunct teaching at the college level in addition to the courses developed and taught in my corporate positions;

    • the Education tab tells of my preparation for the contributions shown in the experience, teaching, and research tabs. With a bachelor’s degree in accounting, two master’s degrees – Finance and Economics, and a Ph.D. in Finance, I have developed a strong educational foundation; and

  • lastly, the Garden Gallery allows me to share with all my exploration of gardens. Please feel free to download the photos for your collection. The gardens are where I go to “smell the roses”.
