As the semester draws to a close, we have a few announcements from the law library!
Library Hours
The library circulation desk will be unstaffed on the following dates: Monday, December 23; Thursday, January 2 and Friday, January 3.
Members of the Penn State Dickinson Law community can continue to access the library with 24/7 keycard access on these dates.
The Law School will be closed from Tuesday, December 24 through Wednesday, January 1 and the library will not be accessible to anyone during this period.
Intersession hours will begin Monday, January 6 and will be posted outside the library.
Returning Borrowed Materials to the Library
The end of the semester is the perfect time to return any research materials borrowed from the library! For more information on returning materials, look for a forthcoming post on our blog, Keeping It Brief.
Law Library Student Positions Available
The Dickinson Law Library is hiring law students for work study (maximum 20 hours per week) positions for the 2025 spring semester. Applicants must have a standing of 2L or 3L during the 2025 spring semester. Student library assistants will staff the service desk on a weekly set schedule and provide support to faculty, students, and public patrons. Duties include assisting users with circulation transactions, shelving materials, answering basic reference questions and other tasks as assigned.
Successful completion of background checks is required. Work study is required. Weekend hours are required. Some evening hours are necessary. Expected Library service hours beginning January 12, 2025, Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 6:00 pm and Sundays 12:30 pm – 6:00 pm (hours may be subject to change). Various shifts are available.
