Graduating Student Farewell Party
Donate Household Items!
Student Services will be collecting gently-used household items to be freecycled during Fall 2024 orientation! The idea is to help students who are setting up their apartments mitigate their costs.
If you are spring cleaning and have basic kitchen or other small household items that you would like to donate, please bring them to the Student Services suite in the lower level of the law school. Items that would be useful: small appliances, pots and pans, silverware, plates and dishes, glassware and mugs, sheets and towels, etc. We unfortunately do not have room to store furniture or other large items, but if you have small items that you would like to donate, please let us know. Thanks!
Contact Dean Santibanez with any questions – gps5491@psu.edu.

TODAY! Curtilage Comeback
Hosted by the Latinx Law Student Association, this academic year’s final Curtilage Comeback will be TODAY, Friday, April 19 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM in the Commons.
This event will feature food, music, a piñata, card games, dominoes, and dancing (featuring The Moving Party!).
In gathering together as a community for a Curtilage Comeback event, we like to take a moment and acknowledge students, faculty, and/or staff for a job well done.
- 1Ls – do you have classmate, a 2L or 3L, or an administrator that has made your first year in law school easier?
- 2Ls and 3Ls – do you have a classmate that goes above and beyond in and out of the classroom? Or a professor that really goes out of their way?
- Staff – is there a student you’ve worked with or observed just being helpful or caring? Or a faculty or fellow staff member that makes your day at the office go smoother?
- Faculty – is there a student that you’ve noticed contributing to the law school community in extraordinary ways? Or a fellow faculty member or staff member that deserves a round of applause for their engagement or effort?
These are just a couple of examples! Please take a moment to express your gratitude toward someone by filling out the Recognition Form for today’s Curtilage Comeback.
All recognitions submitted by 12:00 p.m. today will be read during the Curtilage Comeback.
All recognitions are typically read within the first 30-minutes of the event.
This event is intended for the entire law school community as well as spouses, partners, and their families.

Educational Equity Scholarships 2024-2025
The scholarship application for Educational Equity Scholarships is now open. Additional information is found at this site: Scholarships — Educational Equity (psu.edu)
The Educational Equity Scholarships include support for students with disabilities, students with veteran status or military dependents, and students who further the inclusion, diversity, and equity initiatives of the University.
All incoming and current Penn State students are encouraged and welcome to apply, including students enrolled in graduate and undergraduate programs across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in World Campus. Students must complete the application to be eligible for consideration, including short essay questions. Educational Equity provides one application for all scholarships. Students will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible, and students must submit an application each year for consideration.
The single application is used for all possible scholarships, so students will need to select the categories that they meet the criteria and wish to be considered (ex: First Gen, Having a disability, etc). This year, there is a new scholarship that the criteria is for someone who is registered with Student Disability Resources and either currently has a life threatening condition or still experiences symptoms related to a life-threatening condition. This scholarship application will remain open until May 3, 2024 at 11:59 PM.

Edna Smith Primus Fellowship Program
The University of South Carolina Rice School of Law is seeking applications for the Edna Smith Primus Fellowship Program. The Primus Fellows Program is for aspiring scholars who hope to enter law school teaching. The description of the program and a link to apply is below.
Edna Smith Primus Fellowship Program
The Edna Smith Primus Fellowship Program provides aspiring scholars an opportunity to prepare for a career in law teaching. While working under the general supervision of the Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Scholarship, and teaching one course per semester, fellows pursue a scholarly agenda of their choice and receive mentoring in both their teaching and scholarly work. Fellows attend all faculty activities, workshops, symposia and conferences deemed necessary by the Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Scholarship. Fellows research, produce, and present legal papers in the area of study in the annual faculty workshop series. Fellows attend and engage in all opportunities within the program and the law school to develop teaching skills on the Fellow’s individual interests. Primus Fellowships are one-year to two-year, nine-month appointments.
To apply, please click here.
DUE TODAY: Testing Accommodation Access Requests
To preserve student anonymity, all accommodated final assessments will be administered separately from the main classroom by the Academic Affairs and Student Services teams. For confidentiality reasons, testing accommodation information may not be shared with faculty members.
Students with approved accommodations of any type must complete a request form for each final exam by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12. Contact Assistant Dean Santibañez-Bania with questions.
