Analyzing tourism and travel in the late 19th century through a digital map of France which corresponds with the travel diaries of Frances Cahn, a 14 year old American girl, written during her visit to Paris in 1891. This map is a visual representation of Cahn’s travels that will help you travel through France and through time. Each marker on the map represents a diary entry and shows the viewer how and why each place was important not only to Cahn, but also to other visitors of France in the 19th century.
