This photoset takes some of the images from PSU’s Department of Public Information Media Gallery and puts them in a little mini tour of PSU. The use of this photoset could extend into a multimedia classroom by asking students to create a full tour of PSU with photo notes based on this example. The learning objectives could be to:
1. Demonstrate how to take pictures and edit them in a photo editing software (i.e. Photoshop)
2. Analyze and Create a successful ordering of pictures that allows for the best online visual tour
3. Explain the design process behind creating the photoset
4. Apply prior knowledge of campus to add notes to the pictures
5. Describe the notes and how the notes add/subtract from the tour
Students could then provide each other with feedback and help in the grading process. Thus, the goal in the process would be:
Students will successfully create a clear, working, visual online tour of PSU’s campus (in flickr) and explain and demonstrate what makes the tour successful.
