After a semester of collaborating and meetings with the clients (transmedia faculty) the blog is officially up. This semester I had to shift my knowledge from creating webpages from scratch with Dreamweaver to using content management systems. For this particular project we began with the dream of creating a websites for the program however we needed an immediate result. We decided on a content management system internal to Penn State and that was WordPress. Prior to creating this I knew nothing of using content management systems and how to customize things. For this website I learned through Lynda tutorials and simple web searches on how to add pages, a footer, and a menu. We finally have a complete website and the route I took was a dedicated blog which serves as a website anyways. You can keyword search for the Graphic novel stories and the creators. So far we only have 4 characters by 3 creators. Over the break I hope to have a complete list of characters in the graphic novel.
