Track Description and Topics of Interest:

Over the past years, openness in education and learning has become a key issue in Technology-enhanced Learning, with several initiatives that have been developed worldwide. Currently, Open Access to Educational Resources (mainly, academic courses and learning objects) Initiatives are turning to mainstream policies and practices. Nowadays, key research challenges for the future of openness initiatives involves open access to resources, practices, tools, services, people and spacesin an effective and interoperable manner, as well as strategic approaches like crowd collaboration and making practices. The main objective of the i-OPENLearn@ICALT2015 track is to bring together researchers and practitioners to present their research results and to debate about future research directions in the area of Open Educational Resources and Open Access as well as more generally on openness in education and learning.
