Hi, Welcome to my website!

My name is Duo Pan, and you can call me Alice. I am a second-year Master’s student in the College of Information Science & Technology, Pennsylvania State University.

With an interest in Natural Language and Processing and Online Privacy, I joined The Human Language Technologies Lab in May 2019. My advisor is Dr. Shomir Wilson. My research project is Multilingual Scam Emails Detection. The research’s abstract and the poster has been accepted by the Sixteenth Symposium on Usable Privacy and Security (SOUPS)2020. I Also gathered some industry experience. I worked as a Machine Learning Data Engineer at American Tire Distributor from May 2020 to December 2020.

Before joining this Master’s program, I got my first Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language at Penn State in 2017. I worked at New Oasis International Education as an Academic Counselor from 2017 to 2018 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
