6.3.1 Design Concept: Portfolio

6.3.1 Design Concept

Since this is the final project and I have to create a portfolio which should not be hard. So, I have to find a way to combine the past projects together to make it a complete portfolio. For the concept I have put together a small compilation that should show all of the past projects. This project is a combination of all of the techniques that I have used including the programs that I used through each project that I have gone through. This concept would be interesting for the project because for a portfolio we need to have the best thing that would combine well to turn out well in the end. I have had thoughts on what I can do for the project, but now it comes down to thinking about how I could be able to implement them to have them come out to look nice. Whether it has to be repositioning things, adding things, or any kind of editing that is needed in the project. The last thing that I would like to add in is something that could link to a cloud storage that links all of the things that I have to go directly there. Of course I will try out all of these things and create a great portfolio.

5.3.1 Design Concept: Large Print

5.3.1 Design Concept

After finding about this project I thought of different ideas that I could do for this project and I think that they were some good ideas but the one that stuck out to me was that I had chosen was the places that I wanted to visit. I think the main ones that I wanted to go to was Japan, South Korea, and Paris. There were different ways that I wanted to create this artwork when I came up with the idea. So, I explored different ways that I could put these pictures together while making that picture. With these pictures I even thought that I could include myself in the collage of photos which would mean that I would have myself standing and seeing that I would chase my dream to visit these countries. So, to make it happen I found a photo of myself standing close to the edge of the cliff staring into the horizon. With this photo and the other pictures combined in some way along with some blending I could create the effect of me and the pictures combined together because this is the last thing that I need for this picture and I hope that this could turn out well in the end.

4.3.1 Design Concept (Prep)

When I chose what I wanted to do for this project there were a couple of things that came to mind that I would use for the project and they were things that I like. I thought about a lot of the but the one thing that I had gotten into was skincare. Which is why I brought in was Facial Masks I thought that they had a unique design that would be useful for editing, so that was for my scanning. Before the Round Robin there was some prepping that needed to be done before the actual Round Robin had started and I had to edit two of my other classmates artwork with pictures that I think would’ve suited their concept. For the prepping we had to change the resolution of the photo because when it was scanned the resolution looks real sharp and every detail can be seen from the scan. So, to minimize the size of it I had to dim down the resolution a little bit, plus clean the specs of dust that were from the scanner, then positioning it, and just getting the final product ready for the Round Robin.

3.3.1 Design Concept: Mandala

3.3.1 Design Concept: Mandala

This project called the Mandala project is a project of expression in which we have to use our knowledge of geometrical shapes, color and meaning into this project. For this project this a real test of my artistic ability, but considering that this is just a concept this was an idea that had popped into my head. When I was thinking of the concept when it came to shapes, the one thing that I thought of flowers especially the unqiue color that they give off when I start using colors the sketch will look much better with the difference in color it shows a change from the primary color to a after a transition. My sketch is of a flower, the reason why I chose this is because I used to draw this a lot in the past and it has been a while since I have drawn this shape. When this project came around I did pander for a little bit but in the end I did choose to do this one because I want to draw it again and I wanted to see what it looked like added with a little bit of color with it.

2.3.1 Design Concept: Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird

2.3.1 Design Concept: Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird

Blackbird is visionary poem that catches the attention of the reader and the ways that they think of their interpretation of the piece. The piece was the main focus of this project, is the way that I envision this project would look like through my perspective. That is the challenging for this project. Looking at each stanza carefully and by my thought process what would be the more appropriate sketch that would suit the stanza well. The thing that is hard is imagining what it would look like on paper. Seeing it in your mind is easier when reading the poem, but when it came to drawing it that was tricky, but other than that once we imagine it. Once we imagine it then start drawing it then it becomes a lot better and the visions would start becoming easier to draw out on paper. This poem gives artists a way to see of their accuracy of their thinking when it comes to interpreting the message of each stanza of the poem. To the point they think of the main product that comes out from reading the piece throughly. Here is my sketches for the Blackbird poem:

Brainstorming is the main thing that gets an artist motivated when start coming up with new ideas that would capture the attention of people to know about the uniqueness of their work so that means in order for this to be done there are a wide variety of ways that an artist could be able to brainstorm their next big project. However, there is a possibility that they could not think of anything that would be worth creating. There are ways to get them out the block, it would mean to think of a word that pop into their head. but there is a way to be able to get them out of that artists block. A Mindmap would be a completely useful tool that they could use in order to come up with an idea. The purpose of it is to find words that would shout out to them and give them inspiration of what they want create. That was the point of the assignment, to create a mindmap through MindMup in order to come up with different kinds of words that could combine together to make concept that they believe would be the topic and art that they want to put out for the general public to see.
