Setting Project to On-Hold Status
Why put your project “oh-hold”? This setting will show up on the PL Dashboard report that John, Adam, and the Project Directors are utilizing to determine PL Workload.
Please follow the steps below to ensure that all of the appropriate settings have been made so the “on-hold” setting appears in the dashboard.
- Go the project
- Click on Schedule
- Click on + Add Task to add a task

- On the task line, click on the name “New Task” and change to “On-Hold”
- Add the Start and Finish dates for the “on-Hold” period

- Click on the column “Add new column”, select Master Task from the drop-down to display this column in the table.

- In the On-Hold task line, select on-Hold from the drop-down in the Master Task Column.

- Click Save to Save the schedule settings.

Saving your Schedule
The Penn State Project Leader is required to update the Milestone Schedule in the e-Builder Schedule Module. After the necessary updates have been made make sure you click the “Save” Button!
Schedule Manager
Did you know that as the OPP Project Leader, you can update the Schedule Manager without going through the ebAdmin?
Keep in mind that only one person can be assigned as the Schedule Manager per project.
- Select the project
- Click on the Schedule Module under the Project Menu
- Click on the Details Tab
- Select the appropriate Manager Role from the drop down menu. Typically this is the 01P PSU OPP Project Leader role or the 01P PSU OPP Intern PM role.
- Select the appropriate Manger User from the drop down list. Only users who have already been assigned to this project will appear this list. (If they are not already on your project submit an EBUAR).
- Click Save
