Transforming Your Students
Jessica Martin
The number one concern for most classroom teachers is behavior management. As much as teachers try to plan for every possible bad behavior each year, nothing can really prepare them for the collision of dozens of intricate personalities trapped in a room together all day long. Using the principles from Move Your Bus, Jessica Martin will show you how to transform any problematic student into a future leader in your classroom. After the presentation, any teacher in any circumstance will be able to easily implement the Move Your Bus strategies in his or her classroom and watch as negative behaviors are magically transformed into positive ones.
Jessica Martin is a bubbly fifth grade teacher living in the middle of the Great Basin Desert in Winnemucca Nevada with her husband Anthony and their two chocolate lab dogs- Obi Wan and Luke. She is currently finishing her thesis for a Masters Degree in Teaching from Sierra Nevada College. In 2002, Jessica graduated from Minnesota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business finance. Jessica is known as The Whimsical Teacher on social media, and she loves entertaining and helping teachers through her blog and Teachers Pay Teachers store. In the classroom, Jessica merges her business knowhow with her love of teaching to create an engaging environment where students learn the art of resourcefulness and build lifelong leadership skills to attain future success.
