Creating my mandala taught me many things and also enhanced my skills in using the pen tool. All though I’ve been using the pen tool for around four years, using the pen tool to create the fire ring in my project has definitely enhanced my skills because it is one of the biggest things I’ve traced. The first thing I traced in my mandala to get started was vector art of a flame. After the flame was created and adjusted to my liking I went ahead and added a gradient fill of blues to make it more authentic since my project was based on the element fire. After I had my flame I was able to duplicate it and start thinking of ways to look more appealing to the eye and think of different designs. The next step I did was to start trace a fire ring and make it look like flames, I did it so the mandala can have more objects and seem more appealing. When the ring was completed which took about two hours to create I then added and combined everything together to get my first sketch. To conclude when I finished my first sketch it then led to more ideas and that was what made my mandala complete.
