안녕하세요!~ (Annyoung hasehyo! – “Hello” in Korean)

I’m Justin, an ’08 Penn State alum and currently a high school math teacher in NJ. If you’re wondering about the post topic, a fun fact is that I study Korean and spent a summer there.

Where I work, I’m an iPad supervisor for our one-to-one program in which every teacher and student has an iPad. Looking to learn more ways to infuse technology into the curriculum, I took this course. I’m familiar with a variety of social networks: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest to name several. Next year my school will adopt MyBigCampus. It’s a “social learning platform” that allows for wall posts, activity feeds, following other users, and a suite of teacher tools such as online assessment, blogs, wikis, file storage and sharing, etc. As I tinker with this resource, I’ll share my experiences.

I look forward to working with everyone!

안녕하세요!! I just joined this course!! I am glad I can see many school teachers here. I am looking forward to working with you all too. I am sure we all have different experiences from each other even though we are school teachers! I would love to know American school systems.

    Thank you all!!

    Greetings Justin!

I am excited to start diving into the course content with you. Being an iPad supervisor makes you a wonderful resource for me. I am an elementary teacher (kindergarten) and my principal just announced last week that we will be receiving a class set of iPads (rotating through the different grades). She has instructed us to find apps that we would like to be put on each iPad over the summer, so I have begun doing some research. I know that you are a high school math teacher; however, do you have any successful experiences with apps designed for the lower elementary grades?

Thanks for sharing the links about the program.

    Bonjour Justin!
My grandfather spent a few years in Korea and Japan after the Korean War. He always speak Korean at home when he tries to intrigue us. It’s nice to know that someone else has endured the same language!
It will be fun learning with you.
