About Me

As an ongoing learner in the field of education, I sought acceptance into The Pennsylvania State University for the Higher Education graduate program.  While I was an undergraduate student at the California University of Pennsylvania, I was connected to a number of campus services.  I feel as though these services elevated my experience as a young college student.  Upon completion of my undergraduate program, I began working as a Spanish teacher.  I find it extremely rewarding to work with young people and with that being said, I am ready to pursue my passion for higher education by one day working at a collegiate level.

The higher education program has allowed me to not only explore different areas of the field, but also strengthen my transferable skills.  Five of the most important takeaways from my course experiences are my ability to engage in reflective practice, make decisions related to college students, use research and concepts to strengthen my perspective of higher education, differentiate the ways in which I communicate, and maintain a student-centered focus.
