Chapter 9: Creating and Developing Leadership and Project Teams
Summary
Summary
Creating and developing your teams does not happen overnight. It takes planning and deliberate thinking about the levels of teams needed, how the members will be brought together and function, and how the different teams will complement each other and work toward a common goal. Â
Creating and supporting a team takes time but it can also be an incredibly rewarding experience to see a group of people bring their talents, experiences, and skills and come together to address common goals and community issues in collaborative ways that simply cannot be addressed individually. Â
Checklists to help you create and develop your teams can be found in the next section of this chapter and here. They offer a quick and concise way to develop many of these concepts and considerations for your own work with your teams.Â
