SEN Corporate and Alumni Partners
Creating Opportunities for Connection, Partnership, and Student EngagementIn partnership with the Penn State Corporate Engagement Office, the Student Engagement Network seeks alumni, industry, and corporate partnerships across the breadth of programs offered. The value of connecting current students to former Penn Staters, as well as key corporate partners, highlights the value of engaged learning and the power of participating in experiences outside the classroom that help students grow both personally and professionally.
Out-of-classroom learning accelerates students’ development and enhances their preparation for life after graduation. Penn State is committed to making this type of engagement a central part of the undergraduate experience with more students involved in a wider range of learning opportunities than ever before. The vision for student engagement at Penn State is to make sure every student has the opportunity to excel beyond the classroom and expand their horizons.
Partner with the SEN Grant Program
The grant program, supported by the Penn State Student Engagement Fund, ensures that students from all economic backgrounds can locate out-of-classroom learning opportunities that Penn State and the broader community have to offer. Through a competitive application process, awards of up to $2,000 are given three times per year to undergraduate students from across Penn State’s campuses, including World Campus.
Penn State is currently seeking corporate and alumni partners for Informational Interviews with students. Grant awarded students are assigned to identify and conduct an Informational Interview of a corporate partner in a relatable career.
Partner with the Student Engagement Portal Project
The Engagement Space invites students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members to learn more about the impact of student engagement and connect with others across campuses who are passionate about similar topics. Student engagement interns can help their peers find opportunities to enrich their learning experience, work with faculty and staff to build connections and get involved, and explain the value of engagement to the wider community.
SEN Internship Program
The internship program provides students with an opportunity to assist with programmatic development and wider promotion of student engagement across the University. Interns aid in the planning and implementation of scheduled events, act as mentors in the Engagement Space, speak with fellow students about the benefits of engagement, and connect them with resources. Most importantly, they serve as voices of student engagement at Penn State.
