PowerPoint is, on its surface, a program that allows us to create presentations. Many of us utilize the basic tools available to tell our story.

There are some newer additions to the software that make your point in new and more impactful ways.

Let’s take a look at three tips to make PowerPoint work even better for you in 2021.

1. Stock Images

Imagery is a useful way to share information with your audience. Did you know that a visual is more easily remembered than words after your presentation?
PowerPoint added stock images as well as “cutout people” and illustrations. Located on the Insert ribbon in the Images grouping, you can select Pictures, then Stock Images.

Stock images are available in PowerPoint.

2. Morph Transition

A transition moves your presentation from one slide to the next. The morph transition creates a smooth look.

3. Design Ideas

PowerPoint realizes that not everyone is a slide designer. With that in mind, Design Ideas (called Designer in the web version of PowerPoint) was added to the program.

You’ll see Design Ideas pop up on the right side of your screen after you add an image to a slide.
