Introducing Our Busy BEEs (Berks Environmental Education Squadron) Feb. 9, 2016

We are all really excited and very passionate about bees, they play such a big role in our ecosystem. they deserve to be protected and preserved as much as possible. It is this mutual interest that brings the three of us together. We all come from various backgrounds and different generations, and we each bring different viewpoints to the table which will only help us work more efficiently and cohesively as a team.

Patrick McCarty is a sophomore in the Elementary Education Major, who is the president of CSF( Christian Student Fellowship), Director of Promotions for Blue and White Society, a Peer Mentor, Lion Ambassador, Orientation Leader, and Workstudy in Admissions. Patrick has experience in carpentry and engineering and is a very hard worker.

Donald Kirby is a senior in the Information Science & Technology major. He has designed websites for Penn State Berks, and is currently the president of CARP. He brings with him a more technical experience, as well as a love for hard work, since he grew up on a farm.

Jamie Ernesto is a sophomore in the Hospitality Management major here at Penn State.  Her passion for food and beverage, especially the farm to table concept, is a big part of her life. Sustainability is a huge concern in our world today, and Jamie wants to create more farm to table eating.  She brings a hospitality spirit, love of the outdoors, and green thumb to this project and states that she’s happy to “BEES” here!
