On February 25th Flower Power had their first visit to Glenside Elementary!
We all met with the Assistant Principal, Karen Houck. We got to tour the school and learn more about where we will be working. We have all decided that our project at Glenside will be working on the Garden that is located at the back of the school.
We have many plans for ways that we could improve the Garden at Glenside. Such as adding more benches so it would be possible for the children to have class outside on nice days, planting new flowers, building/painting bird houses, and maintaining a healthy and colorful environment for the children to enjoy and be more mindful of nature.
Ooh, I’m excited to see this project go forward. Giving kids the opportunity to have classes outside on nice days will be huge, something I think they’ll enjoy a ton. Good luck!
