Happy Warm Weather Everyone!
On April 18th, the Lady Lions of Sierra attended the TAPPED documentary showing at Penn State Berks. Along with us, Darree (our intern coordinator) and multiple environmental activists from the Sierra Club also attended the showing. After the showing, Rachel, Jess, and Hali two facts sheet on water extraction. We also held an informal discussion about the water extraction problem in our area and discussed how to take progressive steps towards creating awareness within our community about this massive issue. We also brought a visual display that we created the contained images from Flint, Michigan’s contaminated water supply as well as similar contaminated water issues that are currently going on in our area. Below, I have attached the two fact sheets handed out at the TAPPED showing, and also the trailer of TAPPED.

I remember seeing the trailer for this movie in class for one of the discussion forum posts. It seemed very interesting. The fact sheets were also very interesting. Good post.
I attended the showing of tapped as well as participated within the discussion and you three did an amazing job. You were all truly well informed and kept up with all the questions that were being thrown your way. I learned a lot from the movie but I learned even more from you guys so thank you very much for keeping me well educated on this issue!
I attended this showing of Tapped and really enjoyed the discussion your group held. I learned a lot water extraction and how many companies are charging us for “purified spring water” when really they’re selling us filtered tap water. We should make more people aware of this issue. Thanks for sharing!
