Service Project
For the service project, we spent a lot of our time planting trees. Not only learning the steps to successfully plant a tree, but how planting trees affects the environment, the water, weather, and all sorts of facts that play a role. Also, we will be talking about the litter pickup we did and how the litter and things we do every single day affect the water that we not only put in our bodies but what we put into the earth as well.
Service Reflection
The dependence of efforts like liter removal, tree planting, and water quality testing in the larger effort of preserving natural resources was made clear by theses attempts. Tree planting contributes to climate change mitigation, carbon dioxide absorption, and ecosystem replenishment. Liter cleaning enhances neighborhood environments and keeps trash from polluting streams and harming aquatic life. Water Quality testing prevents pollution of aquatic environments and guarantees safe drinking water. Theses efforts collectively address environmental problems like pollution, biodiversity loss, and climate change. By giving people the chance to interact with nature and strive toward a common objective of environmental stewardship, they foster sustainability and communal well-being. By encouraging a culture of accountability, these activities promote long-term environmental preservation.
Research Project
Our research issue is water quality and we are going to be addressing what may have caused these issues, the consequences of the issues, possible solutions for the issue along with individual and societal steps that we as a whole should be taking. Our presentation is going to be about our experience with planting trees and how it is not only good for the water but for other facts as well. We will also address a little bit about what we learned about water testing and how it affects the quality along with other factors.
