I think I speak for all of my partners when I say we really enjoyed this project. I personally can’t wait to go back to Hawk Mountain after the excavation is over to see what we helped start. I think it’s awesome that we were able to leave a permanent mark on Hawk Mountain, it’s something that will be there forever. Hopefully we started the first of many smoother and handicap accessible paths, allowing everyone to see the beauty which is Hawk Mountain, and all the wildlife there, not only all the birds of prey that call it home.

Our final meeting was on Saturday, 4/25/15, with Ryan at Hawk Mountain. We present tomorrow, so I am not trying to spoil our presentation, but our project was to clear a path that was handicap accessible. Hawk Mountain received a 1 million dollar grant for their project, the excavation starts today. We hauled 100s of lbs of lumber out of the forest, also had to cut down the longer twigs.

Hi everyone, we had started our action last Wednesday, April 1, at Hawk Mountain with Ryan. We walked one of the trails of the park and picked up debris along the path. We logged 3 hours and we had a lot of fun and got a good workout in. Unfortunatley we didn’t see any hawks, but we saw several Turkey Vultures, they looked like they were going to fall from the sky! Our next scheduled service opportunities are set for tomorrow and Thursday, weather permitting.

Hi! We are Team B(Becca) T(Tyler) E(Eddie) L(Liam). The environmental issue we are looking at is wildlife issues, especially the re-emergence of the Bald Eagle. Now, a little background, Becca is a 19 year old Freshman from Collegeville Pa, and  is a Criminology major. Tyler is a 19 year old freshman from Lebanon, and he is undecided. Eddie is a 19 year old freshman from Miami, Florida and is a Criminal Justice major. Liam is a 19 year old freshman from Norristown Pa, and he is a Business major. We will be doing our service at Hawk Mountain.
