A recent study has shown positive talk has an impact on plant growth. In order to provide a better environment to classmate and improve the environmental awareness in elementary school. Peiyi Wang, Xuanyan Hu and me made up us a team to finish the EACAP project. Peiyi is a hard-working girl with really high working efficient, it would be really comfortable to be her partner. She can help us to control the time, and help us to fix the difficult problem. Xuanyan is good at making some artistic ideas, for example, she thinks we can use plastic bottles as pots to plant plants because it not only save the nature resources and budgets but also help the students to improve their environmental awareness to plastic pollution.
We decided to made a corporation with Glenside Elementary School. We met their principle Ms. Melissa S. Fisher. She asks us to provide different plants to students from different grades. She tells us we can either made a PowerPoint for teacher to teach students or we can be teachers to teach students.
we decided to provide 7 different plants to all the class in Glenside Elementary school including Flytrap, Succulents, Sunflower, Aloe, Chlorophytum, Mimosa, Daffodil. we made a nice PowerPoint and poster to help the teachers at school to introduce the plants. Before given to school, we made a poster and PPT presentation toward to the class, and made a great compliment. On top of it, we made some discussion about plastic pollution which also hope help the students to improve their environmental awareness.
During the EACAP project, we realize the importance of protect environment. We search many videos related to plastic pollution, knowing the huge damage to the world especially the animals. For example, many birds would regard plastic products as food due to its color, and they cannot digest them. consequentially, They would they in hungry. In the other part, we found different plants in different regions, and write a paper about how to plant them to children at school. Honestly, it not only helps them to plant, but also enlarge our knowledge. By the way, our groups faced to many difficult problems, it would be really happy to use team power to solve the problem and help us to realize how powerful the team work is.
Generally, we hope the seeds and PPT we offered can help children in Glenside Elementary school to enjoy the planting process and gain more knowledge about the nature environment.
