Research Report Update!

Last week, I made some progress on our research report, since due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to complete service hours and the service hours portion of the project has been lifted. For our research report, our topic is nuclear radiation accidents and how they can be prevented. I typed up some information on how we can prevent nuclear radiation accidents in the future, based on Fukushima, a nuclear radiation accident that happened 9 years ago in Japan. We are also planning on meeting via Zoom this week to create a road map on how to finish the EACAP project.

Presentation has been Recorded!!!

Hey everyone! On Monday, due to the pandemic, we all met up on Zoom to record our EACAP presentation! Our presentation topic was Nuclear Radiation Accidents, and we discussed a lot of different topics from major accidents at Fukushima and Chernobyl to solutions to the accidents, and other key info about our topic. Picture to come later!

Research Report Update

Today we are putting the finishing touches on our EACAP Research Report! Our topic was Nuclear Radiation Accidents, and we had a lot of fun researching our subject and putting together the research report and powerpoint presentation. We will be submitting our report tonight-it includes a lot of neat information!

Final Reflection/Summary Post

Hi guys! The Green Team here with one final EACAP Project update! We were disappointed because we could not complete the service portion of our project, which was the 10th and Penn Elementary School Family STEM Night. However, because life throws your curveballs, we moved on and we completed the research portion of the project. Our topic was Nuclear Radiation Accidents. We had a lot of fun researching this topic and as a group we all learned a lot about this topic that we did not know about prior to researching the topic. We also had fun putting together the google slides presentation and recording it, and finally, writing the research report.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable and fun project. While we did not get to do the service portion, we still had a good time learning about a new subject and creating a presentation and research report about the topic. We also learned how to work as a team, communication skills, and so much more.
