Being in this course has been a wonderful experience. I learned so much useful and relevant information while still having fun. The most important thing that I learned is that the issue starts with us and so does the solution. The environmental issues that we experience can be tackled little by little. When I say this I mean start solving the issue by changing your bad habits. Recycle more and waste less. Educated yourself about what is going on and how you can help stop it. All of my classmates did a wonderful job getting people involved and informed; I hope you all are inspired to make some changes. I have attached a presentation about water pollution. Enjoy!

Reflection on our project!
For our group project, we decided to work on the topic of water pollution. Our group decided that water pollution was a very important topic that should be talked about so more people are aware of it and will do something to help prevent it. From this research we were able to learn and understand a multitude of things about water pollution that we previously were unaware of. Such as the history of water pollution, the fight against it, causes, effects, and ways to prevent it. Our message to others is to be more mindful of what you discard into the trash and drains. We should all also learn the ways of how our waste is treated so that we are able to find different ways to dispose of it that are more beneficial to the environment.
The final stretch
The team met up to finish our final part of our service project for the Glenside school. We brought rocks and painted some of the rocks to give to the kids so they have an idea of what the rocks going to be like. Were going to take the rest of the rocks to Glenside so the kids can paint rocks and put design on the rock and once they are done were going to help add them to the garden that they have already have at there school.
Green Day Enhancers Spreads Awareness at Berks
We created a poster dedicated to our research on water pollution to grab the attention of the Penn State Berks community. During the poster sessions we spoke with a lot of people and informed them about our issue-water pollution. It was an amazing turnout. The people we spoke with were very engaged. We even learned some things that we did not know; many people shared information that they learned from other sources. We received great feedback and it felt good to spread awareness! Also, they enjoyed the fact that we were working with Glenside to get the students involved with their environment. Someone mentioned that it was best to start informing them at a young age. Green Day Enhancers really enjoyed the event.

Glenside Elementary School Water Cycle
On October 27th, we went to Glenside Elementary School and created water cycles with the children. We used cotton balls, markers, and glue to make the different sections of the water cycle. We also explained the process of the water cycle to the children while they made their own projects. This day was Halloween themed and everyone had a blast!
Meeting in the Library
During our time in the library we talked about our research paper. We talked about the topic we wanted to talk about and as group we decided we wanted to talk about water pollution. We chose water pollution because it’s important issue and we use water daily so it important to understand whats going on. Also during our time in the library we reflected on our service and further discussed other parts of our project.
Green Day Enhancers vs. Glenside’s Garden
As a team we chose Glenside’s Garden Enhancement as our project. The elementary school already has a beautiful garden we are just going to help make it even more appealing. We decided to make stepping stones to place in the pathway of the garden. On the stepping stones we will engrave animals, plants and “welcome” in different languages. Also, the school will have two events in which we will attend and work with the students. We will assist them with making their own stepping stone to place in the garden. We think it is a great way to get the kids involved with the improvement of their garden.
