We are In the Green

We are the In the Green team, and this upcoming fall we will be working at Glenside Elementary on an environmental project. We are a team of 4 Penn State Berks students, who each have an interest in learning more about and contributing to environmental health.

About us

Jesus Estevez is from the Wyomissing area. He’s currently a sophomore, and he is pursuing a degree in Business Admin. with a focus in Financial Services. Jesus likes to spend his time outdoors, listening to music, and hanging with friends and family.

Eriq Hospedale is a junior at Penn State Berks. He is majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Kinesiology. Originally, he is from the Philadelphia area. Some hobbies Eriq enjoys doing are playing basketball, football, and listening to music.

Siani Young is from from Philadelphia, PA. Currently, she is in her junior year of college, and her major is accounting. Siani’s favorite hobbies are traveling, shopping, and drawing.

Daivys Vasquez grew up here in Berks county. This is his last semester as a senior at Penn State Berks. His major is marketing and management. In his free time, Daivys likes to hike, run, travel out of town, and eat at new restaurants.

As mentioned at the beginning of the post, we are working with Glenside this semester on either the classroom plants or the greenhouse project. Our interest lies mostly with the classroom plants project, but we do want to learn more about both opportunities to find the best fit for us. We each care about a safe and healthy environment and plan on working hard to make this opportunity a success. Ultimately, we look forward to helping the youth understand the importance of environmental sustainability.
