Hello all, we are team BAG (Ben, Aakash, Guari). We are researching invasive species, and will be working with the Hawk Mountain Organization for our project. We are in charge of helping the organization clear trails in order to get ready for spring and summer hikers.

My name is Ben, I am a Junior at Penn State Berks, and I am an accounting major. I am 21 years old and love hiking and the outdoors, so this project is really important to me.

My name is Aakash, I am a Junior at Penn State Berks, and I am an Information Sciences and Technology Major. I am 20 years old and love doing adventure sports and outdoor activities.

My name is Gauri, I am a junior at Penn State Berks, majoring in Information Sciences and Technology. I am 20 year old and I like out door activities.

IMG_0042Hi! We are Team B(Becca) T(Tyler) E(Eddie) L(Liam). The environmental issue we are looking at is wildlife issues, especially the re-emergence of the Bald Eagle. Now, a little background, Becca is a 19 year old Freshman from Collegeville Pa, and  is a Criminology major. Tyler is a 19 year old freshman from Lebanon, and he is undecided. Eddie is a 19 year old freshman from Miami, Florida and is a Criminal Justice major. Liam is a 19 year old freshman from Norristown Pa, and he is a Business major. We will be doing our service at Hawk Mountain.

Hey guys! We are team ecosystem. We will be researching about how trash kills sea life. Our partner organization is Hawk Mountain and we will be planting seeds. I am Nikki Hessler and I am a freshman at Penn State Berks. My major is Early Childhood Education. I am 19 years old and enjoy helping others. I am Rachel Behm, I am a sophomore at Penn State Berks and my major is Early Childhood Ed. I am 19 years old, I enjoy the arts and working with children. I always try to look at the positive side of life and try to see the glass as half full. I am Austin Berger, I’m a freshman and an accounting major at Penn State Berks. Hello everyone! This is just an introductory post to give everyone an idea of who our group is, our mission for this project, and a little about each member here at the Penn State Berks campus.


James Unell is a sophomore studying Security and Risk Analysis from Orwigsburg, Pennsylvannia.


Nathan Faust is a sophomore studying Information Sciences and Technology from Orwigsburg, Pennsylvannia.


Leif Greiss is a sophomore studying Journalism from Hamburg, Pennsylvannia.


Phillip Kondracki is a sophomore studying Marketing from Coatesville, Pennsylvannia.


Our group has chosen to work with the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary to build a zip line path around the mountain. We will also be cleaning the already established paths as spring comes closer and the snow melts. Our team has a lot of enthusiasm going into this project and we hope to make a difference in our community, one project at a time. We are also researching new and greener methods of fracking in our surrounding areas and presenting them to our fellow friends and community.  We will continue to post on the website as the project moves along.
