Introduction to The RBI Project 4/7/2015
Good Evening! My name is Katie and my team members include Kaitlyn, Mackenzie and Madison. We are all upper class at Penn State Berks, majoring in marketing/management and political science/prelaw. For our EACAP project we have decided to work with Steve Harrity of the Reading Inc. Our task is to be hands on mentally and physically to benefit the Reading area. We will assist in cleaning up and beautifying specific areas. Our teams’ first task is to evaluate the importance of volunteer work and how beneficial volunteering is to our community as a whole. Through the process of our project, we will explore the area and provide a positive impact on the environment around us.

Yaya Barry is from Guinea and currently lives in Philadelphia since he came to the United States in 2004. He is a junior at Penn State Berks and majoring in Accounting. Kevin is a senior and his major is Information Science and Technology. He is from Puerto Rico. Tammy is another senior member in our team. She is from Viet Nam and her major is Accounting. Kevin and Tammy both live in Reading. It is our honor to work with Reading Beautification, Inc., one of the local environmental organization. In this project, we will do some community services such as cleaning along the bank of river and parks, planting some trees and painting. Besides that, we also do a research about how volunteerism affects the community. That project has assigned by the organization to our team. At the end of this term project, we hope that we can pass the words to everyone and raise our awareness about environmental protection.
